If you choose to setup Networking for your event, attendees will be taken to a screen (after they’ve registered for your event) to be able to fill out their profile.

How it Works

After an attendee submits their RSVP to your event (or buys a ticket), they’ll land on a page with two options: Fill out profile or I will fill it out later.

If they choose to fill their profile out now, they can then select their interests. If you've enabled AI Networking, the attendee will be recommended other attendees based on their shared interests as well as their interactions across your event (e.g. profile views, sessions attended, rooms attended, etc.). If you have not configured any interests, this section will not be displayed to the user.

After selecting their interests, the attendee will then see the profile fields that you've selected to make visible to them. This is a great way to capture additional information that you did not want to put in the registration form, such as LinkedIn URL or a profile photo.

How to Setup Networking

Click Networking in your left sidebar navigation. The first thing you will see is a toggle to enable AI-powered Networking. This will allow Lennd to recommend attendees to each other, based on interests and shared activity within your event.

Attendee Interests

This section is where you will set up the various categories and items for attendees to choose their interests to help connect them with others that have similar interests. This is also a great way to collect other types of data from your attendees such as:

  • What role best describes you? (e.g. CEO, CTO, CMO, etc)

  • What product are you most interested in? (e.g. Product A, Product B, etc.)

To add a new category of interests, click Add Category. Once your category is added, click the arrow next to it to move it over to Interests by clicking Add Interest. You can add various categories with various interests under each.

Attendee Profile

Use this section to set up what details an attendee will provide.

The top section is the for you to setup an Onboard message. There is one by default but you can remove this and enter your own.

Profile Fields

Use this area to turn on any fields you want the attendees to fill out in their profiles. This is a great way to collect additional information from your attendees that you did not want to collect in the registration form. Click a toggle by a field to enable that field.

The section header will default to Tell us About Yourself. Feel free to change this.

Following the section header you will see a list of default fields, with the First Name and Last Name fields already enabled.

If there is a field you want to add but it is not listed, scroll down just below the list of fields where you can click Choose Field (this allows you to choose from existing fields) or Add Field (if you want to add a new field).

Clicking Add help text to the right of each field will allow you to enter helpful text to give further details of what you are looking for in that field.

Be sure to click Save to save your changes.
