How tickets work

If your virtual event is configured to sell tickets (you can set this via your registration settings page), you can configure different types of paid and unpaid tickets to make available to your attendees. The tickets are shown on your registration page.

An attendee can select 1 ticket and then complete the registration form. If the ticket has a price, the attendee will need to enter their credit card details. They will be charged upon clicking "submit".

Please note that fees apply to each transaction. Fees are dependent on what type of plan you have. For more information, see the pricing page.

Setting up tickets

You can add, edit and delete tickets via your "Tickets" section, accessed via the left hand sidebar. (Reminder: You'll only see this link if your event is configured to sell tickets. You can edit this via your registration page settings.)

To edit an existing ticket, click "Edit" on the row of that ticket.

The different values for tickets are:

  • Name: The name of the ticket

  • Visible: Is the ticket visible on the registration page?

  • Quantity: What is the max amount of this ticket quantity you want to make available? Once your sales for this ticket type surpass this amount, it will say "Sold Out" on your registration page.

  • Price: The price your of your ticket

  • Order: This is used to sort the different tickets when displayed on your registration page

Adding Tickets

To add a new ticket, click "Add Ticket -> Add New Ticket". You'll now see the "Add Ticket" modal.

Overview

Enter a name, description (optional - this is shown on your registration page for the ticket) and what sort order you want this ticket to show in.

Tracking

On the Tracking tab, you can view some additional settings. If you'd like to limit how many of this ticket can be sold, toggle on Track Inventory for this Item. Then set the Total Available to limit how many of this ticket can be sold.

Under Virtual Event Settings, ensure that "Allow Access to Virtual Event" is toggled on. If you want to hide this ticket from the registration page (e.g. this is a ticket only for speakers or exhibitors), you can elect to hide the ticket.

Prices

If you'd like to add a price to this ticket, go to the Prices tab and click + Add Price. Add a label for the price (e.g. Full Price, Half Price, Discounted) and then input an amount.

Ensure the price is toggled on. This price will now be used for the ticket.

For more advanced use cases, adding multiple price points to a ticket allows you on the admin side to add attendees at different price points for a single ticket (e.g. Industry Discount vs. Full Price).
